Here’s a secret network marketing (also know as MLM) is not a short term get rich quick business! Unfortunately many desperate distributors advertise and recruit for their company on that basis, which often gives the business a bad name.
The network marketing business is a long term financial prospect, like an IRA or a CD. It is based on residual income an important part of wealth building in the long term, which is why people like Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad) and Donald Trump endorse it.
And as a long term financial vehicle, network marketing needs to be funded just as you would fund an investment in the beginning.
Occasionally there are superstars who take off in the business and jump to the top of their company compensation plan, but for most people, it takes time to get to the money making residual income.
So, where does that put the majority of people who need money now and are looking for a home based business to supplement their immediate income, especially in today’s tough economy?
Well, most people end up dropping out of their network marketing company because they run out of the money they need to continue funding their business to get it to the point of solid residual income.
So, the million dollar question is “ how can the average person fund their network marketing (MLM) business now so they can stay in long enough to develop that long term residual income?”
Some network marketing companies, like mine, try to help by offering a “jump start” kit that helps the distributors get more money right away from the initial recruiting. That certainly helps, but the distributors still need to find find (and usually buy expensive) business opportunity leads, and work your rear end off trying to chase them down with calls, calls, calls.
I found a much better way of doing business online that makes the old network marketing techniques of opportunity meetings, cold calls, business cards and car signs outdated.
You need an online network marketing (MLM) system that will teach you and your downline exactly how to market online. You need something that will pay for itself and for your leads and will even bring in multiple streams of income that help fund you now. You need a system that will help build your primary network marketing program to build that long term residual income. And if this system works with any network marketing or MLM program or company, you can help other (and earn money when you do) even if they don’t join your network marketing opportunity.
